Where Quiet Grows is a one-of-a-kind textile artwork created through a quiet collaboration across time.

At the center of this piece is a hand-appliquéd floral composition, carefully formed by my mother, an accomplished textile artist. Each petal was individually cut and placed by her hand, creating a foundation rich in texture, intention, and detail.

After her passing, I completed the piece—mounting it on a cradled birch panel and building outward with layered fabric, beadwork, and crystal embellishments. The delicate bell-shaped flowers are accented with fine beadwork, adding dimension and a subtle shimmer that shifts gently with the light.

There is a sense of stillness here—of something unfolding quietly over time. The piece invites a closer look, revealing its intricacy through layered materials and thoughtful composition.

Part of the Inherited Blooms collection, this work reflects a shared creative language—her hand and mine, brought together in a single, finished expression.
