Where Stillness Settles is a one-of-a-kind textile artwork created through a shared creative process across time.

At its center are two softly unfolding blue blooms, hand-appliquéd by my mother, an accomplished textile artist. Each petal was individually cut and placed with care, forming a composition that feels both balanced and gently in motion.

After her passing, I completed the piece—mounting it on a cradled birch panel and building outward with layered fabric, beadwork, and crystal accents. Subtle embellishments within the flowers catch the light, adding dimension without disrupting the quiet nature of the work.

There is a calm presence here—two forms leaning slightly toward one another, held in a moment of stillness. The piece invites pause, offering a sense of quiet connection and ease.
