Where Warmth Blooms is a one-of-a-kind textile artwork created through a quiet collaboration across time.

At the heart of this piece is a hand-appliquéd sunflower, carefully formed by my mother, an accomplished textile artist. Each petal was individually cut and placed by her hand, creating a foundation rich in intention, care, and craftsmanship.

After her passing, I completed the piece—mounting it on a cradled birch panel and building outward with layered fabric, beadwork, and crystal embellishments. The center catches light with subtle shimmer, while the surrounding textures create depth and warmth throughout the composition.

There is a sense of presence here—of something tended, remembered, and carried forward. A piece that feels both grounded and radiant.

Part of the Inherited Blooms collection, this work reflects a shared creative language—her hand and mine, brought together in a single, finished piece.
