Where Warmth Gathers is a one-of-a-kind textile artwork created through a quiet collaboration across time.

At the heart of this piece is a hand-appliquéd floral composition, carefully formed by my mother, an accomplished textile artist. Each petal was individually cut and placed by her hand, creating a foundation rich in care, intention, and craftsmanship.

After her passing, I completed the piece—mounting it on a cradled birch panel and building outward with layered fabric, beadwork, and crystal embellishments. The warm coral tones and softly structured petals create a sense of quiet radiance, while the center catches light with subtle shimmer.

There is a gentle presence here—of something gathered, held, and allowed to fully bloom. The surrounding space gives the piece room to breathe, offering calm, warmth, and a quiet sense of completion.

Part of the Inherited Blooms collection, this work reflects a shared creative language—her hand and mine, brought together in a single, finished piece.
